This international patient-oriented register will start its work in close cooperation with several successful national registries existing already for several years in Europe. Active involvement of leading MS scientists, such as Prof. Michel Clanet, Prof. Christian Confavreux, Prof. Jan Hillert, Prof. Xavier Montalban, Prof. Chris Polman, Prof. Soelberg-Soerensen and many others has been agreed on as well as the cooperation with ECTRIMS, EFNS, EFNA, the European Brain Council, the European Charcot Foundation, the European Patients Forum, the Karolinska Institute, the University of Goettingen and several MS Societies. EMSP’s general objective with the EUReMS is the development of a unique tool and change agent to compare and to enhance the situation of people with MS throughout the European Union and beyond.
