EU directives on “Non-Discrimination” have to integrate the principles of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.

EMSP is strongly concerned with the debate around the “Non-discrimination” EU Directives also because positions in EU countries are varying.

Different directions are explored to look at how those policies answer PwMS daily constraints. Some work has already happened to analyze the synergies between the Code of Good Practice and the UN Convention.

EMSP can position as a cross-boarder association and cooperate from a European perspective. This is also why EMSP is closely following  EDF (European Disability Forum) EPF (European Patients Forum) and MSIF (Multiple Sclerosis International Federation) work.
